Want to go for a drive

Tonight Devin started drive right. She of course was nervous. But her friend jessica is taking it with her. That was rather helpful. She already gets her permit at thursdays class.I can't beleive my baby girl is going to be driving. and thank the lord!!! I sure am playing the role of cab driver lately.

many many accomplishments

Hunter did so great yesterday. He started to get a little nervous the night before. Saying he had a stomach ache. And worried that he would have to switch classes. I reassured him that in the 2 hours there they would not be switching classes just putting away their belongings.His teacher is new to the district. she seems rather nice.Rob took him to school because I had to go to work at 6:30. I don't think my heart could have handled seeing him upset yet another year. I am always so sad at the start of school because my poor boy has a major panic attack s .for about 2 full weeks of school He is upset. I get upset because his upset and it is just rather a traumatic experience but not this year. My boy did great!!! No tears. No throwing up!! He was just a little nervous. but rob left him on the playground as soon as the bell rang. he walked in all by himself. I'm so proud of him. He has accomplished many many things this summer. It is so hard to understand or even explain the worries that my poor son has faced. For him to be part of a team was a traumatic for him but he played a whole season of b ball.and he was really great at it. Today I went to parent orientation. His teacher is nice. I explained about his anxiety and she said she never would have guessed because he was fine and playing.(talking)LOL I am just so grateful that he was there . I will worry about the talking later.
devin was nervous about the first day.Thank you jacque for giving her a ride. She didn't want to ride the bus and have to walk into school alone. She enjoy her first day of her sophomore year. She starts drive right on Tuesday. And she informed me that where ever we go she will be driving.lol

Orange and Black Day topped with stitches.

ORANGE AND BLACK DAYS.
Devin performed at HHS Saturday. She did great. It Was their first performance at the school. They introduced all the athlete's. I was so proud of her. After the performance, Devin received a text that hunter needed stitches.I turned my phone of so I wasn't interrupted on Devin's first performance. But I guess that was a bad idea. rob was in a frantic trying to call. He is not to good at these kinds of things. He will pass out from looking at it.My mom was out of town. she is usually the one to handle this sort of thing if I'm not home.So next on the list was my brother, Mike and his wife jenny. Rob ask them if they could come over early since we were watching a ufc fight at 6.a little confused my sister in law says how early? Like now early. rob says. Hunter may need stitches and I can't look at it.Already feeling sick. He pleads for them to come.I called as soon as ICould and flew home. I thought rob said it was his chin but when I looked at it was his sheen? Yep stitches. we loaded in the car with Uncle Mikie and Aunt Jenny (Hunter's best supporters) and headed to the walk in clinic. Hunter was in tears. Not from pain(although I'm sure it hurt) but I think his anxiety got the best of him. He was a frantic mess. Uncle mikie and aunt jenny held his hands. I got him to look in my eyes(so not to see the numbing needle)He calmed down alot. Then he got his 2 stitches. After the doc was done, he called his dad to say how brave he was. Sometimes I think thank you just isn't enough for people that truly support your family But my brother and his wife go above and beyond what aunts and uncles are made of.The are my families hero. We love u guys!!

Looking for a certain something.

I spent all day Saturday at work for a curriculum training. It was rather interesting and she offered some awesome props to use at group time.Devin went to dance practice at HHS. After the training at 4, Rob and I went gambling at a new casino in Clinton Iowa. The Mississippi bell is no longer there. We didn't win anything but had a great time anyway. We went with his sister and her husband. We didn't get home till 2 a.m. Sunday,we went back pack shopping. My mom every year gives each one of the kids money to get there back packs. Karsen got his at toys r us(Which is moving to east state)He picked out a wonder pets one.Hunter got Dc one with lots of bright colors. Devin hasn't got one yet because she is looking for a certain kind of bag?..hmm .. After that we went, riding the four wheelers at our friends property. Once we were on his property, I let Devin drive. She did pretty good except for when I said put the breaks on slowly. She slams them on and we all fly forward.ugh! Karsen was rather crabby and wouldn't stop crying. so I called it a short day and took him home. Today Robs mom came over early. She took the kids shopping for some school clothes. I appreciate that as I have not bought anything. Hunter got 4 shirts, shoes ,under ware and socks Devin picked out 2 shirts. She is looking for certain clothes..hmmm..(mall). She also bought some school supplies like pens/pencils/paper. When she was here she even cleaned my house and did some much needed laundry. Thank you!! During last week, I finally had a chance to sign Devin up for drive right. She starts Aug.26. The second class she gets her permit.We started to look for cars for her because we only have the truck for her to practice driving. But when we point them out she says that she is looking for a certain car. hmmm...(NEON)I guess she knows what she wants.N ext weekend, I have another meeting until 4. Devin has orange/black day and will be performing I believe at 5:00?.(HHS)I sometime have to finish school shopping with my picky teenager who's looking for a certain something wish me luck!

Hunter's Home run

Hunter's baseball tournament was saturday. They lost by one stinking point. But they played awesome and almost caught up!Hunter did great. He did a major dive to cach a foul ball.He almost had it,too. The best part of the game was his home run!! AWSOME. Thanks to Aunt Jenny and Uncle Mikie who are my son's major fans!!! We appreciate you guys comming to the games and recording this for us. I would be really upset if i didn't have it!!! Thanks for taking him to the batting cages and playing b.ball at the park!!!Hunter has really came out of his shell this year and has accomplished many things he has never tried before.Thanks for helping him do that uncle mikie. Your his hero and my best friend. We love you.
