Open house

This Saturday from 1 to 4 is a open house at my work. Santa will be there. And we will have activities in each room. In my room we are suppose to be decorating cookies. In another room we are making pine cone bird feeders. You guys should stop out. Let the kids have fun and check out the center.We will also be in the Roscoe parade this weekend.Our float won
the mayors award:)at the machesney park parade. We won 50.00.Over the weekend we got a family picture. Only one of them turned out.It turned out real nice though. I wanted one of the kids together. Karsen didn't think that was a good idea. He decided not to sit still or he took off walking as soon as she took the picture.Too funny.He is walking and climbing on everything. If u leave a chair out at the kitchen table, he climbs right up and then climbs on the table.LOL He climbs on the couch. He tries to then climb over the arms.He is so on the move.He is starting to talk alot. He says Get you(as in I"m going to get you) All done,(as in all done eating)baba(bottle)byebye,nini(night night)Hunter,devin,dada,mama and he tries to imitate the dog. But Mandymakes this yelping sound instead of barking so Karsen makes this yelping sound, too.He is to funny. He loves daycare.He is use to having his teacher all to himself though and since enrollment is picking up he has to share her. He tried to push another toddler off his teachers lap so he could sit there. When he realized this wasn't going to work he cried. But as soon as the other child got up karsen ran for her lap:)what a silly boy.
Tomorrow is my uncle's funeral. I've decided to take hunter. He wants to go. I'm fraid if he don't get to go He will feel left out and worry all day at school. I guess there really is no right way or wrong way here but sure wish there was some kind of parent Manuel for these types of calls.

shoping and more shopping

Well, I'm trying to make atleast a little dent in my shopping list. however, I seem to be running out of money. Devin and I went to cherryvale mall today. They were packed and there was no where to park.I did manage to get 3 gifts there. Two others at the kmart/sears. Rob and I tried to put the lights up today. We got the lights on the bushes out front but still have to put up the ice cicles. He decided to go hunting in the middle of it.Ugh! O well maybe next weekend.

Still Thankful

We spent thanksgiving day with family. We spent the early afternoon hours with Rob's family eating dinner and late afternoon enjoying pies and treats with my family.It was great to all be together.But late in the evening we got some very sad news. A uncle of mine has been fighting a long battle with cancer for almost a year and had passed away. I knew that he was very ill and no longer strong enough to take radiation treatments. I was prepared for this. I was not prepared to tell Hunter.How do you tell a child that someone has died again? Hunter has experienced death before but it was with a step uncle that was very young and my husband's cousin who to was very young.This broke his heart and he cried for months. He didn't want rob or me to leave him afraid we would die. It is such a terrible thing to have to tell a child .I just thought here we go again.I cried for the fact that I had to tell him again that someone he loved had died .When I finally got that heart to tell him, He said "oh no mama and sobbed. I sobbed for the fact that I couldn't heal his little broken heart.Today he is doing fine and playing. I'm so thankful that he took it a lot better than I had expected.Because I was truly expecting the worst.Even though we received some very sad news on Thanksgiving day, I'm still thankful for today and everyday.

I took Karsen to see Santa. He looked so cute. He wore his new little dark brown corduroy jeans and a little white Henley shirt..He was all dressed up for his first visit and picture with Santa. We had to wait in a little line. When we got up there he took one look at him and cried. I tired for one picture . He didn't want anything to do with him. I was real sad about this because last year he didn't get to see Santa because there was a 2 hour wait. I thought this year there would be no wait but I'm sad to say there will be no photo either.Maybe next year.
Devin and I went to the parade.I was handing out fliers and trying to keep up with the float. I didn't realize that I handed Jacque and Steph a flier. Lol. Glad you guys came.It was a big parade a lot bigger than I had expected. Our float was a light up jack in the box and some ABC blocks . The kids were sitting on it and throwing candy and Frisbees. It was cold and rainy.But fun. I hope it helps our dare care with enrollment.

One great find!

I went to the woodmans this week for grocery's. I don't shop there much. Although, they are reasonable But much to busy for me.When Ifound this adorable hat for karsen. It was a must have. We are going to see Santa at the mall today before it gets to busy! The parade for my work is today starts at clifford and ends at machesney mall. Look for more pics later today!!

New hours

My first day of working 3 hours didn't last long. They had a board meeting that day and I got 6 hours a day.But some people got laid off.
My class is now combined with the two year old room. There is now 6 students in there and a new enrollment starting (after thanks giving ). So 7 total.I have been handing out fliers(with Devin's help)to the neighborhood,library,and Carlson ice arena.We will have a float in the local parade this Sunday(elm street) and the Rockton parade sometime in December.I probably will be walking with the float handing out candy.( They have not gave us all the info yet.so..)Come and see me.
Hunter is finally well!!! He missed two days of school and just finished mounds of homework. He still needs to review for a test. but I'm taking a break. We have been working since after school and it is now 7:30.(UGH)
My husband got a 8 point buck and would have liked me to post his picture with it on my blog but I didn't think you ladies would have appreciated that to much!LOL.

Still sick.

Jenny made this cute get well basket for the boys.

She is always so kind and thoughtful.
The basket had Kleenex,halls,hand sanitizer,Ramon noodles,water,immunity boosting crystal light,orange juice, and a little candy.Hunter is still sick. Is not looking good for school tomorrow.Rob will be staying home with him. Although this was not a easy task to accomplish, he finally agreed.I can not miss work again.because I missed two days last week with karsen being sick.What do you guys do when your kids are sick? Especially when there are three to share the illness.UGH!Do your husbands take a turns, too?

never a dull moment at the cardots :)

After spending a night of scrapping with you girls, I came home to a well lit house. I couldn't imagine that Karsen was still up. I unlocked the front door and heard"mom" Here was poor hunter laying in the bathroom sick :(ugh! I dropped everything at the door and started to clean up puke!! I knew I hadn't left early enough because I was in for a night with very little sleep.After getting hunter settled in a nice clean bed, Rob just happens to tell him that karsen got stuck in the end table when I was gone.WHAT!! How is that possible. My end table has two legs that make a "x". He informs me that karsen was stuck in the top part of the "X".
Devin had to help push him though the "x" as Rob pulled him though! I had to laugh.Who was watching the baby.I go down stairs to get the stuff I left at the door. Devin has left me a note that says I can't find the cat. I tried to put her in the shed last night but when I called her she didn't come.By now I'm real tired and just decide to go to bed!!! Whatta night.

BEWARE!!!

When hunter went to take his medicine, he yelled mom there is the wrong pill in here. I went to look and sure enough they put the wrong pill in his bottle. It was the same color(WHITE) And the same milligrams(10). I got right on the phone to talk to the pharmacy manager. But he seem to think that it was a small error probably the machine that counts the pills fault. He said bring it in and I will give u a new pill. WHAT?!!Idiot, I don't want a new pill!! What if he would have took this(LAWSUIT) AND who is looking over the machines that are dispensing these pills?.(YOU obviously) I was mad. I called today. (Store manager) She said she would check into it and call me back!! They better at least recognize my son in some way that he did a excellent job(better than the pharmacist) or else!! The high five I gave him just isn't enough!!!!Be careful when filling a prescription check all the pills before you start giving them. It was a scary lesson well learned!!!! GREAT JOB HUNTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whats up with me?!

I am suppose to be at work today. However my baby is sick. He is throwing up,fever,diarrhea, and has allergy.Plus a cold on top of all that! He is miserable!
We were all informed yesterday at work that in a week we all would be cut down to 4 hours a day!because there isn't alot of children enrolled yet.They haven't told us what hours we would be working yet.Ugh!!We all kinda of expcected it though!I have put flyers out at the library , at Karsen's doctors office, (today) and at rob's work.We are all trying to get kids in there. So keep your ears open if anyone needs daycare send them our way!!We have a website ,too.
We went to the circus tuesday. Karsen loved the horses and the dogs. But thats about it! He was clapping and screaming when everyone else did. Too cute!

trick or treat

Happy (late)Halloween to all. Karsen loved trick or treating. He was the cutest little skunk! Devin decided that she wasn't to old at the last minute and threw together her costume.Hunter was dressed as a scary monster. They all got lots of candy. Every year rob's friend mike and his son bradley go trick or treating with us.Then we go to my mom's and the kids always knock on her door to pretend to be trick or treaters. Then they see if she can recognize them!!!LOL It's kind of been our tradition. Hunter always look forward to that.For some reason this year we set our pumpkins out side and never carved them.?ugh. OH well. There's next year,right?
